Rosa (also known as Zoe) is a first-year tattoo artist based in Honolulu, Hawaii. She began her career as an apprentice at Priestess Ink, working under the mentorship of shop owner and Pacific Ink & Tattoo Expo judge, Momo Taro. Rosa’s apprenticeship spanned a year and a half, during which she honed her craft and developed a distinctive style.Her preferred tattoo styles include Neo-Traditional Japanese, Color, Fine Line, and Anime tattoos. WASH AFTERCARE


Please remember: your tattoo is an open wound. Proper care is essential for healing and long-term results. Always wash your hands thoroughly before touching your tattoo.

First 5 days

No submerging: Avoid soaking your tattoo in water (baths, pools, hot tubs, etc.) for at least 5 days. If you need to prevent your tattoo from getting wet, wrap the area with plastic wrap or a plastic bag during your shower, then remove it immediately afterward.Sweating: Minimize heavy sweating or strenuous activity for the first 5 days• Avoid direct sun exposure on your tattoo as much as possible to preserve color and detail.

Wrap removal: The wrap should be removed 5 hours after your session ends (the first hour begins as soon as the session is complete).Late sessions: If your appointment ended late, you may sleep with the wrap on and remove it the following morning.

DAYS 1-5

Clean: Gently wash under lukewarm water—never scrub and use a fragrance-free, antibacterial soap (Liquid Dial soap is recommended).Do not use body scrubs, scrubbers, or loofahs.• Avoid scented body wash, shampoo, or conditioner coming in contact with the tattoo.Dry: Pat gently with a clean, dry paper towel. Keep the tattoo dry.Repeat: clean three times daily until Day 5. (the first day begins the day you got the tattoo).Keep the tattoo clean and dry. Do not apply any ointment or lotion during this period

After Day 5

• Begin moisturizing only if the tattoo feels very dry or flaky.• Use a fragrance-free lotion (Lubriderm or Aquaphor are recommended).• Apply only a very thin layer. Do not over-moisturize.• In hot and humid weather, skip lotion or ointment—natural skin moisture is sufficient

Do not scratch, scrub, or pick at peeling or scabbing skin. Allow it to fall off naturally.• Lightly pat or smack the area if it itches—do not scratch.• Healing typically takes about a month.If you notice:
• Unusual bumps
• Pus
• Excessive redness or swelling

NUMBING CREAM

Instructions

Apply Cream in Advance: Prepare the numbing cream 2-3 hours prior to your tattoo appointment to ensure effectiveness.Clean the Skin: Clean the area to be tattooed with rubbing alcohol.Shave if Necessary: If needed, shave the area to ensure a smooth application.Follow Product Directions: Apply a thick layer of the cream as directed.Wrap the Area: Wrap the treated area with saran wrap and tape. Allow the cream to marinate until your appointment time. (you will arrive with your arm wrapped).Numbing Spray Use: Please note, numbing spray is only for use during the tattoo session, not as part of your prep.

SANIDERM

Instructions

Wrap removal: The wrap should be removed 5 hours after your session ends (the first hour
begins as soon as the session is complete).
Remove the bandage in the shower or under warm running water to gently loosen the adhesive.Begin at one corner and peel the Saniderm back over itself in the direction of hair growth—this minimizes discomfort and protects the skinLate sessions: If your appointment ended late, you may sleep with the wrap on and remove it the following morning.clean: clean your tattoo with your preferred aftercare. Once the tattoo is clean and dry, apply a fresh layer of Saniderm over the area, ensuring it extends at least one inch beyond the tattoo to fully protect the surrounding skin.post-removal: Leave the Saniderm in place for 3 to 6 days, depending on the amount of fluid (plasma, ink) pooling beneath it. If it's your first time using Saniderm or if your skin appears irritated, removing it after 2 to 3 days is acceptable.

How old do I need to be to get a tattoo❓
In accordance with Hawai'i state law, minors are eligible to receive a tattoo with parental consent. Hawai'i Administrative Rules Title 11, Section 11-17-7. The minor's parent or legal guardian must be present to sign the consent form and provide a valid government-issued ID. The minor must also present a form of identification, such as a school ID or similar document.
How should I prepare for my tattoo session❓
Please make sure to eat a light meal before your appointment and stay hydrated. Avoid going out after your session to ensure proper healing. Shaving before your appointment is optional. If you prefer not to, I will provide the service during your visit.
can I use numbing cream❓

Do you use Saniderm❓
No. I wrap tattoos with hypoallergenic plastic wrap and tape to minimize the risk of skin reactions. Since Saniderm contains adhesive, it may cause irritation or affect the healing process if you have a known or unknown allergy. If you would like to use Saniderm after your session, please bring your own and I will be happy to apply it for you. For detailed aftercare instructions specific to Saniderm, please refer to the Care tab on my website.
What should I bring to my appointment❓
Please bring valid photo identification and any reference materials for your tattoo design. We also recommend wearing comfortable clothing. Snacks, an entertainment, a drink, a pillow and a blanket also helps.
How long does a session usually take❓
Depending on the preparation, size, placement, design, and last minute revisions, each sessions can last from 45 minutes to 4 hours (sometimes longer).
How long will my tattoo take to heal❓
Healing time typically takes between 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the size and location of the tattoo. Please refrain from swimming and sunbathing until your tattoo has fully healed to ensure proper healing. Full healing may take up to 6 weeks.
Can I bring a friend or family member to my appointment❓
For the comfort of all clients, we ask that you TRY bring no more than one guest with you to your appointment.
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment❓
We require at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling requests. I will reschedule you in accordance to the next availability or the next scheduled session.
Can I see a draft of the tattoo❓
Drafts of your tattoo design will not be provided prior to the appointment. The final design will be presented on the day of your session, and any necessary revisions can be made at that time.
How do I know if my tattoo is infected, what should I do❓
If you suspect your tattoo is infected, seek medical attention immediately. Signs of infection after a few days may include increased redness, swelling, warmth, or pus. You might also experience unusual pain or fever. feel free to contact me for any concerns.
what happens if I'm on my period❓
During your menstrual cycle, your pain tolerance may be lower, and your body may be more sensitive. As a result, healing could take a bit longer while your body adjusts.
Do you offer piercing services❓

can I get tattooed while i'm pregnant❓

can I get tattooed with a sunburn❓

can I get tattooed before or after having surgery❓
Yes. Please schedule your tattoo appointment at least one month prior to your surgery. Following your procedure, we recommend waiting one to two months—or following your physician’s guidance—before coming in for a tattoo. This ensures the healing process is not disrupted.
can I take breaks in between the session❓
You are welcome to take breaks during the session, and breaks will not incur an additional charge. However, if multiple breaks exceed more than 10 minutes, an additional charge will apply.
can I smoke during the session❓
Smoking is permitted during your tattoo session; however, if it causes discomfort to others in the studio, we kindly ask that you refrain.
can take pictures/videos during the session❓
Recording and photography are allowed during your session; however, if another artist or client prefers not to be included in the frame, we ask that you kindly respect their privacy.

Street parking is available, as well as parking in the Farmers Market lot next door or the lot located behind our building. Please do not park in the Plantation parking lot across the street, as it is not designated for our clients.

Deposits & Refunds

A one-time, non-refundable deposit fee of $100 is required to secure a first-time appointment. First-time clients referred by a friend or returning client are eligible for a reduced deposit of $50.Deposits may be issued prior to the appointment or on the day of. It is strongly recommended to submit your deposit several days in advance of your scheduled appointment to ensure confirmation and availability.Deposits are refundable if cancellations are made serval days in advanced of the scheduled appointment. Cancellations made one day before, or on the day of are ineligible for a refund.
